Stop global warming・Saitama navigation 2050 (Saitama Prefecture Global Warming Strategy Action Plan )
The impacts of global warming have been the impending threat to us. Today the task for global warming has been urgent, it is necessary that we cope with it through piling up our wisdom by all the prefectural citizens.Therefore, we settled on “Stop global warming ･ Saitama navigation 2050” that draws ideal figure of Saitama prefecture in 2050 from the viewpoint of global warming strategy and shows both policy for realization and mid-term goal for achievement towards the target.
The outline of the action plan
1 Settling the reduction target of GHG emmission at the year 2020- Targeting to realize "the aggregation of Low-Carbon garden cities tinged by renewed green and river" integrated both break-through technology innovation and riich natural environment, and
- Settling the target to head for realizing future ideal state that the amount of GHG emmission in Saitama prefecture at the year 2020 will be reduced 25% compared to it at the year 2005.
- Establishing original cap and trade type emissions trading system.
- Trying the rapid spread of solar power by providing original subsidies with an advantage of Saitama’s characteristics that the number of very fine days is No.1 in Japan.
- Presenting re-evaluation of midnight-ize bussiness style and lifestyle, and renewal of green and river as urgent tasks.
Composing scheems for global warming strategy, and converting major social streem into 7 ways of categolies such as industry, commercial, residential to reach the distination that the low-carbon society has been achieved.
4 Reconstructing philosofy about adaption to global warming
Presenting estimated examples of adaption toward the impact by global warming in region, because “Wise adaption”is required to cope with the impacts by the due progress of global warming.
